Anthracite activated carbon

1. Activated Anthracite Charcoal (Activated Anthracite Charcoal) is a type of charcoal with higher activation and effervescence than Anthracite Charcoal, which is used to remove impurities suspended in water, detoxify, and deodorize.

2. Specifications:

Particle size: 0.8-1.2 mm; 1.2 - 2.4 mm and other sizes

Capacity: 700-800 kg/m3 (depending on size)

Porosity: more than 50%

Basic chemical composition: carbon 92%

Granular black, dry loose, angular.

3. Advantages:

- Due to its large residue capacity, activated anthracite coal is suitable for treating water with high turbidity. Increase the filter cycle.

- Can be used with sand in existing filter tanks without changing the tank structure.

- Due to the high carbon content in activated anthacite coal, it is chemically resistant and stable in acidic and basic environments. Therefore, Anthacite coal is widely used in industrial, domestic, and civil water purification plants.

4. Scope of application:

- Can be used in open filter tanks or pressure filter tanks. Filter direction from top to bottom

5. Recommended use:

- Combined with filter sand to remove impurities suspended in water.

- The minimum thickness of the coal layer is 0.40-0.45 m.

- Immediately after replacing the filter material, it is necessary to carry out backwashing to remove the coal dust layer.

- Filter wash: backwash when the filter cycle ends. Washing water intensity 10-12 l/s.m2. Washing time 10-15 minutes.
